Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs review.

July 26, 2009 By: Govvy Category: Films No Comments →

I rather enjoyed this film and it was the first film I have seen in 3D from what I remember. Although I found that my eyes strained a little the animation in 3D was amazing.

My favorite character with this franchise has always been the squirrel and he didn’t disappoint. His jokes were the best, he fell in love with a sex red squirrel. The next has to be Simon Pegg’s weasel known as Buck who was a swash-buckling pirate character. However the main weasel Sid i never really found funny, a pathetic character full of pathetic jokes.

So Sid finds three T-Rex eggs and manages to go off on the journey making new friends and managing to get his old friends almost eaten. Nevertheless it was one happy ending.

McCoy’s website a bit broken?

July 23, 2009 By: Govvy Category: Internet No Comments →

I don’t know how many other people have tried to enter the McCoy’s comp and failed. But for me I have tried with Google Chrome, Firefox and IE. Well my cookies are enabled on all those browsers. I just seem to have the most success with IE.

Still it does take a long time to enter, considering when the barcode is exactly the same on the back on the packet for the specific flavour! I don’t know if there is success for different flavours or not.  But it does save you having to buy a pack every day, I guess this means I can enter the comp every day with out buying. :)

That is definitely a floor in the promotion on the packets, at least it saves me getting fat!

My Clio (gulp)

It all started yesterday in the heat, first the electronic fault light came on in the car. The car started up and as soon as I applied the pedal it cut out. I was hoping it would go but after a few tries I finally got the thing going.

The next I knew the engine warning light had come on, driving all the way home from work hoping nothing would happen. Well nothing did happen, the car felt mainly okay, mind you it did feel a struggle in the higher speeds, 60 to 70 miles an hour.

So I thought I would wait till morning to try again, the engine warning light came on, so I decided to take the car to the garage, but on the way it went out.

So I get to the garage and leave it there waiting to find out what is wrong with my car and how much it would cost. When I finally get the phone call back…, a micro-fracture! Apparently there is this micro-fracture in the wiring that could either cut out in one week of six months. This problem can be fixed in three hours of work and cost well over £700.

Instead of having some unknown garage perform the op, I thought the Renault garage would do it better, I’ve had botch jobs done before and lost a lot of money, so now I paying that lot more hoping it won’t be botched up!

Costs are high these days, but at least I got a job to cover the costs, even with so much money or so little, it is always frustrating to me no matter how much costs are.
