Jersey Boys

On at the Prince Edward Theatre at the moment is the Jersey Boys. This is a performance based on the factual account of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.

What the hell were they singing at the beginning of this show I will never know, because I didn’t like this first song, nor could I understand a single word! Even if it was in English!! But after that little nasty entrance the show began to pick up. You hear a couple of early tracks I wasn’t too keen on at all and then when they finally find their fourth in Bob Gaudio (played by Stephen Ashfield)  the show really started to pick up.

The hit songs started to come out and the audience were really starting to enjoy themselves. Ryan Molloy who had the role of Frankie Valli was excellent and the music sounded so close to the real thing it would be very hard to tell the difference.

At times I felt a little lost on the background of some of the characters mainly because it felt like there wasn’t enough information given or there lack of. But for a fun night out at the West End this is certainly a show to go and see, and I highly recommend it.
